Saw them open for Stereolab at the Great American Music Hall in SF a zillion years ago. Okay, maybe it was only 20 years ago. Seems like a zillion, though.

I was never a superfan but I know they have lots of interesting songs and an interesting psychedelic experimental side, too.

I would think that if you were more familiar with them you would appreciate how talented they are.They draw from a gigantic range of influences to play very innovative and smart music.I got to see them a bunch in NYC from the 80's on and they are impressive.Ira Kaplan is a beast of a guitarist.He lights up Lou Reed's here at about 4:30 in.
